Configuring Start Node in Social Workflows
A start node is the starting point of a workflow and no workflow can be created without a start node. A social workflow will have a stream as the start node. All the search results that meet the criteria for creating a case, are processed and routed by that workflow. More than one search can be added as the start point of a workflow, but one search can be a start point of only one inbound workflow.
A workflow can have only one start node.
To configure the start node in a social workflow:
-
From the Partition and Departments dropdown menu, select a department.
-
From the Navigation menu, browse to Business Rules > Workflow > Inbound.
-
On the List page, select an social workflow or create a new one.
-
On the Properties page, on the Diagram tab, add the Start node in the Workflow Editor.
-
In the Add Start Node window, in the Start Points tab, select the streams to be set as the start point for this workflow. All the search results that meet the criteria for creating a case, are processed and routed by this workflow. You can add more than one stream as the start point of a workflow, but one stream can be a start point of only one social workflow. Ignore the Workflows tab in the Start Node window as it is not in use.
-
Click the Done button to close the window.
