Report Builder Gadget

The Report Builder gadget enables you to build reports using the same interface as the classic Report Builder.

The Report Builder gadget can be used to edit existing reports, or to create or edit parameter sets. For details about reports, see About Reports.

The Report Builder gadget opens to show the same initial page as the classic Report Builder. Follow through the steps in order to define the report details. For more details, see About Report Builder.

When you have defined the report, click Save.

Security Requirements for the Report Builder Gadget

To use gadgets and dashboards, the following permissions are required:

• To browse gadgets and add them to your home page or run them from an app, a folder-based role that includes Browse Gadgets.

• To browse and open apps containing gadgets, a folder-based role that includes Browse Apps.

To use the Report Builder gadget, the following is required:

• A folder-based role that includes Manage Reports to create reports in a folder.

• A global role that includes Reports.
