Viewing and Saving a Report in Alternative Formats

With the suitable permissions, users can view or save reports in a number of alternative formats in addition to as viewing a report in their browser. This can be done by:

  • Selecting the required format from the list of available reports.

  • Viewing the report in the browser, then exporting it in the chosen format.

Viewing a report in your browser provides a more comprehensive range of format options.

Viewing a Report in an Alternative Format from the Report List

This enables users to quickly view a report in one of the most popular formats without needing to open it and view it in the browser first.

To view a report in an alternative format from the report list:
  1. If you are a standard mode user, go to your home page. If you are an advanced mode user click the Hamburger icon  in the menu bar to show the tools menu. Then select Reporting > Reports and navigate to the required folder.

  2. In the list of reports, locate the report you want to view, then click the icon beside it corresponding to the required format. The following formats are available:

    • PDF

    • Excel

    • CSV

    • Enhanced HTML Renderer

  3. Your browser prompts you to open or save the file to your computer in the format you selected. Follow your browser's usual method for doing this. 

Viewing a Report in an Alternative Format from the Browser Report View

This enables users to view a report in any of the supported formats.

To view a report in an alternative format from the browser report view:
  1. View the report in your browser.

  2. For real time reports, click the button near the top right of the report corresponding to the format in which you want to view or save the report. The following formats are available:

    • CSV

    • Excel

    • PDF

  3. For historical reports, click Export save and select the format in which you want to view or save the report. The following formats are available:

    • CSV (comma delimited)

    • PDF

    • Excel

    • Enhanced HTML

    • Enhanced CSV

  4. Your browser prompts you to open or save the file to your computer in the format you selected. Follow your browser's usual method for doing this. 

As with viewing a report in the browser, it is possible for the report to reach the maximum row limit and to be truncated when downloading it to any of these formats. Most of these formats will include a warning message in the header text to alert you that this has happened. However, the CSV formats do not support header text and so do not show this message.
