Configuring Video Chat

Video Chat delivers smooth, high-quality video chat services, allowing agents to interact with customers face to face. 

To configure video chat:
  1. From the Partition and Departments dropdown menu, go to the partition space.

  2. From the Navigation menu, browse to Apps > Chat & Messaging > Video Chat.

  3. On the Properties page, provide the following:

    • Enable Video Chat: Click the Toggle button to enable video chat for the partition.

    • API Key: The unique string for generating session tokens for video chat. It can also be used as an identifier for granting access to sessions, retrieving archive metadata, etc. The API Key is provided by eGain.

    • API Secret: The unique string used for generating session tokens for video chat. This string is used for authentication and should be kept private. The API Secret is provided by eGain.

    • Enable Archiving: Click the Toggle button to enable or disable archiving. By default, this field is disabled. For more information, see Archiving for Video Chat.

    • Archive Bucket Name: The name of the archive bucket that is created in the cloud archives to hold the archived video files. This value is provided by eGain.

    • Archive Login ID: The account user name of the archive account. This value is provided by eGain.

    • Archive Password: The account password of the archive account. This value is provided by eGain.
