Selecting a Report Model
The report model (also known as a semantic model) that you choose for your report determines not only the data that can be shown in it but some aspects of how it is presented, such as whether the final report is shown as a table or graph. Icons indicate whether a particular report model produces a real-time or a historical report. Hover your mouse pointer over a report model to see information on that report model. Select a single report model for your report, and then click >>.
Report models, like other resources, are stored in folders. The models you can use to create your report depend on what models you have permission to access. You can see report models from folders for which you have the Browse Report Models task. The models can be organized by the folder name and path, depending on your permissions.
