Known Instagram Limitations

The following limitations are related to using Instagram in Social.

• Videos and animated GIFs may initially error out. However, clicking the X to exit the error message and then clicking GOTO POST allows access to them.

• Direct Messages are not enabled and responses cannot be sent. This is due to a lack of access via the Instagram API.

• Clicking on an activity with a deleted Instagram post provides the error message “This post type is not supported for Instagram API.” This occurs because these images are not stored by Social, but are fetched from the Instagram API instead.
