Configuring Social Media Accounts for Facebook

Before configuring a social media account for Facebook, a Facebook account with a Facebook page must be created and available. If there is not a page managed by the account, post functionality is not available for the account. Additionally, all requested permissions must be granted for the social account to function properly.

If more than one Facebook page is being used, a social media account must be created and configured for each Facebook page. One account in the application cannot be used for multiple Facebook pages.

A Facebook page only be configured for a single deployment of the application. Configuring the same Facebook page on two or more deployments is not supported.

Facebook accounts configured here can be used for messaging accounts in Chat and Messaging. For more information, see Configuring Facebook Messaging Accounts.
