Creating a Case

Cases are created individually in their respective clusters. Where you create your case, depends on the cluster you select and the confidence label you plan to assign to the case.

For this example, create a case that pushes the savings account page push solution article you created earlier. Before you start creating a case, you need the following items:

  1. A question that asks the user what they would like to do.

  2. An answer that lets the Virtual Assistant know that the customer wants to open a savings account.

  3. The control action that you created earlier by dropping the page push cluster onto the Process cluster.

To create a case:
  1. In the Navigation Menu, browse to Authoring > Case Bases.

  2. On the Case Base page, select Case_Base_Name.

  3. Select the Intent cluster in the case base.

  4. Expand the Cases pane and click the New  button.

  5. In the Create Case pane, on the General tab, provide the following details:

    • Name: Type the name of the case.

    • Type: Content Case

    • Visible: Yes

  6. Go to the Qs and As tab and click the New  button. In the Qs and As window, provide the following details:

    1. Questions: Click the Add button add button and select a question.

    2. Answers: Click the Add button add button and from the Answer window, select the answers. The options in this window vary based on the type of question selected in the Questions field.

      1. Available answers are answers that you have previously created using the create an answer method. You cannot directly create answers for cases.

      2. If you are selecting more than one available answer, click the double-arrow button instead.

  7. Next, go to the Solutions tab and set up the following:

    1. Control actions: Click the Add button add button and select the control action that we created earlier when we dropped the page push cluster onto the Intent cluster.

  8. Click the Save button
