Performing Measure and Manage Operations
Some reports enable users to view and edit the resources shown in the report by clicking on links within the report. This facility is known as Measure and Manage.
For example, in a report that lists skill groups, you could click on a skill group, and the skill group details would be shown in an instance of the Resource Manager gadget.
To perform measure and manage operations:
-
Open the instance of the Resource Manager gadget that you want to use to display the details of the resources you select from the report.
-
Ensure that the Accept button is shown in the right hand side of the title bar of the Resource Manager gadget. This means that the gadget is enabled to receive input from other gadgets. If the Ignore button is shown instead, click it to toggle it to Accept.
-
In the Reporting Gadget, run the report you want to use for the measure and manage operation.
-
In the report results, click the item you want view and manage in the Resource Manager. The Resource Manager will show the item details.
