Editing a Report

When editing a report, the type of resource that is being reported on cannot be changed. 

To edit a report:
  1. Perform one of the following:

    • If you are an Advanced Mode user, open the Tools Menu Tools menu, select Reporting > Reports, and navigate to the folder containing the report.

    • If you are a Standard Mode user, go to your Home Page and expand the heading for the folder containing the report.

  2. In the listfind the report you want to edit and click the Report Properties icon to the left of the report name. This icon varies according to the report type:

    • Historical report Historical

    • Real time report Real time

  3. Alternatively, if you are already viewing the report, you can click the Edit button in the Report Toolbar.

  4. The report properties page opens and includes the following details:

    • Name (editable, must be unique within the folder that contains the report)

    • Sub title (editable)

    • Description (editable)

    • Author (the name of the user who created the report, read-only)

    • Created On (date and time of report creation, read-only)

    • Last Modified By (the name of the last user to modify the report, read-only)

    • Date Last Modified (date and time that the report was last modified, read-only)

  5. If the report is a linked report, there will be a notification of this above the report properties, with a link that you can select to view the parent report.

  6. The toolbar includes a Report Builder button which you can click to rebuild the report (for example, add or remove columns, change the styling). This option is not available for linked reports. See Report Builder.

  7. The toolbar also includes buttons that you can select to define Thresholds, create or manage Schedules and to Move the report. The Move option is only available to Advanced Mode users.

  8. Make any changes that are required to the editable properties and click Save to commit these changes, or click Back to discard any changes without saving.
