About Compliance Policies

A compliance policy is applied to articles for which the users must confirm reading. It specifies the time frame in which they must perform the Read & Sign action. Compliance policies are enforced only after being applied to an article. These policies are helpful in an organization where compliance with processes or policies is mandatory.

There are two actions associated with compliance policies: Manage Compliance Policy and View Compliance Policy. Any user with the Manage Compliance Policy action can create, delete and update compliance policies. Users with the View Compliance Policy action can only view the compliance policies. These actions are part of the out-of-the-box Knowledge Base Manager role.
