Copying Topics

In the Knowledge Console, a topic can be copied into another topic and topics can also be copied to the root. A sub-topic can be copied or moved to the root level using the Copy to Root or Move to Root options. 

Topics automatically created from Knowledge folders cannot be copied.

To copy a topic:

  1. In the Navigation Menu, browse to Publishing > Topics.

  2. From the Topics List, hover over the topic you want to copy and click the More button_more button.

  3. From the dropdown menu, select Copy.

  4. Select the topic in which you want to paste this topic and click the More button_more button.

  5. From the dropdown menu, select Paste.

  6. A confirmation message appears. Click Yes to paste the topic.

To copy a topic to root:

  1. In the Navigation Menu, browse to Publishing > Topics.

  2. From the Topics List, hover over the sub-topic you want to copy to the root and click the More button_more button.

  3. From the dropdown menu, select the Copy to Root option to move the topic to the root level.

  4. A confirmation message appears. Click Yes to paste in root topic.
