Creating an Intelligence Job
Knowledge Intelligence jobs define what to analyze, which articles to analyze, and when to run the analysis. To create a job, select + Create Job from any Knowledge Intelligence page. You are prompted to choose a job type before entering the creation wizard.
Job type selection: Knowledge Insights or Duplicates and Conflicts

Knowledge Insights Job
A Knowledge Insights job analyzes articles using selected insights to detect issues across compliance, consistency, correctness, and accessibility dimensions. The wizard has five steps.
Step 1: Select Insights
- Choose which insights to include in this analysis. The insights list shows all available predefined and custom insights. You can:
-
Filter insights by type using the tabs at the top of the list: All, Compliance, Correctness, Consistency, Accessibility.
-
Select individual insights using the checkboxes.
-
Select Select All to include all insights, or Deselect All to clear all selections.
-
- A count at the top of the list shows how many insights are currently selected. Select Continue to proceed.

The job type (Knowledge Insights) is shown in the header bar. Select Change to return to the job type selection screen.
Step 2: Define Scope
- Select the content scope for this job — the set of articles the job will analyze. Click Select Scope to open the scope selection dialog.
- The Select Scope dialog lists all saved scopes available in your department. Selecting a scope from the list displays its details on the right, including:
-
Scope ID and Department ID.
-
Criteria — the folder IDs or search criteria that define the scope.
-
- Select + Create New Scope at the bottom of the dialog to define a new scope without leaving the wizard. Select Use This Scope to confirm your selection. The selected scope then appears on the Define Scope step with a Change option.

Step 4: Name Job
Enter a descriptive name for the job. The name is used to identify the job in the Jobs list and Run History. You can rename the job later from the Settings page.

Step 5: Review and Create
Review a summary of your job configuration before creating it. The review screen shows:
-
Job Name — with an Edit link to revise.
-
Job Type — with a Change link to switch job types.
-
Content Scope — the selected scope and language, with an Edit link.
-
Schedule — a plain-language summary of the schedule (for example, Weekly on Fri at 15:00 (America/Los_Angeles) • entire scope), with an Edit link.
Select Create Job to finalize. A confirmation message appears with a Go to Settings button to return to the Overview tab. The job immediately appears in the Jobs list and, if Run Now was selected, begins running.

Duplicates and Conflicts Job
A Duplicates and Conflicts job identifies article pairs that are near-identical (duplicates) or contain contradictory information (conflicts). The wizard has four steps.
Step 1: Define Scope
Select the scope of articles to analyze. The process is identical to step 2 of the Knowledge Insights job. The Select Scope dialog shows all saved scopes and allows you to create a new scope inline.
Select Scope dialog for Duplicates and Conflicts job
Step 3: Name Job
Enter a descriptive name for the job.
Step 4: Review and Create
Review the job summary. For a Duplicates and Conflicts job, the review screen includes an Insights row showing Duplicates and Conflicts Insight, which is automatically assigned. Select Create Job to finalize. Jobs list after creating both job types, showing repeat toggles and schedule tooltip
