About User Options
Most User Options settings are configured by administrators for the entire partition or department. A few settings can be configured by individual users of the Knowledge Console. If you have been assigned the required permissions, you can view and change the settings mentioned in the below table.
Changes take effect on the next login. If you want the changed options to take effect immediately, you must log out of the system and log in again.
The following table explains what you can do with the options in the User Options menu:

Change the language for the application if the system is configured for more than one language. |

Change the language for articles and folder content if the system is configured for more than one language. Note: The visibility of this button in the User Options menu is dependent upon the screen resolution. With smaller screen resolution, this button is placed on the Console Toolbar. |

To bookmark specific articles. |

Open the Search window. In the Search window, you can run searches to locate articles, clusters, cases, questions, answer sets, and control actions. |

Get a quick overview of the new features on the console. |

Generate sitemaps to inform search engines about the pages on their sites that are available for crawling. Users need to be assigned the Portal- Generate Sitemap action to view this button. |

To import the translated information to the Knowledge Console. Users need to be assigned the Import Translation action to view this button. |
|
To export the information from the Knowledge Console that needs to be translated. Users need to be assigned the Export Translation action to view this button. |

This button opens the About eGain window. This window contains the following information:

Change the password of the account currently signed in. |

To sign out of the system. |
