About Entry Points
An entry point defines the starting point from which customers initiate chat and video chat interactions. Every chat and video chat help link on a website is mapped to an entry point. Each entry point has a queue associated with it and the queue is used to route chats and video chats to agents. A default entry point is provided in each department.
As a best practice, it is recommended to create separate queues and entry points for chat and video chat.
Multiple help links on a website can point to the same entry point.
Chat Activities use pre-configured template sets.
