Creating Releases
A case base should be ready for release before creating a release.
Creating Draft Releases
To create a draft release:

In the Navigation Menu, navigate to Authoring > Case Bases.

On the Case Base page, select a case base.

In the Case Base pane, click the Edit button.

Select the Manage Releases option.

From the Manage Releases tab, click the New
button.

In the Manage Releases window that opens, provide the following details:

Name: Type a name for the release. This is required information.

Description: Type a brief description of the release.

Guided Help Profile: Select a profile for the release. This is required information.

Author Case Base: This field shows the name of the case base for which you are creating the release. The value of this field cannot be changed.

Language: Select a language for the case base.

Click the Done button. The draft release appears under the Manage Releases tab.
Once saved, the properties of a release cannot be changed.
Creating QA and Live Releases
Before creating a QA release, a draft release should be ready.
To create a QA and live release:

In the Navigation Menu, navigate to Authoring > Case Bases.

On the Case Base page, select a case base.

In the Case Base pane, click the Edit button.

Select the Manage Releases option.

From the Manage Releases tab, navigate to a draft release.

From the Actions column, select the More
button.

From the dropdown menu, select the Run option.

In the Run Release window, select one of the following options:

Create QA Release: Select this option if you want to create a QA release.

Create Live Release Only, Skipping QA Release: Select this option if you do not want to create a QA release and want to create a live release only.

Click the Done button.

A message appears informing the user that the release is going to take some time. Click Yes to start the release process. Once the release process is started a message is displayed and on the completion of the release, a notification message is again displayed to the author.
