About Instant Answers Reports
Instant Answers is an AI-powered capability which identifies a user’s intent from their search phrase, and then guides them to the best content. It is superior to a traditional search since it will select and return a specific extract from within an article, rather than expecting the user to read a full article or list of articles themselves. Instant Answers can also create a generative response adapted from one or more articles.

The following capabilities are related to Instant Answers, but reporting of these may be found separately:
- Semantic Suggestions use AI to suggest articles as a user types their search phrase. The success of Semantic Suggestions can be measured in the Search Optimization Reports.
- When an Instant Answer is presented which references one or more source articles, hyperlinks to these articles are also presented so that the user can choose to click-through and inspect the source. Usage of this article access method is measured in the Article Access by Search Report.
